Our Mission: Safeguarding the Legacy of Notre Dame de Montgauzy

The Association des Amis de la Conservation et de la Restauration de la Chapelle Notre Dame de Montgauzy is a French non-profit organization (Loi 1901) dedicated to the protection and physical restoration of the Chapelle Notre Dame de Montgauzy.

Founded in June 2018, our association serves as the guardian of this historic landmark. We are committed to ensuring that the chapel’s architectural beauty, structural integrity, and sacred artifacts are preserved for future generations to study, admire, and cherish.

Our Core Objectives

Under our official classification for the Management of Historical Sites and Monuments (NAF 91.03Z), we focus our efforts on three vital pillars:

  • Restoration & Preservation: We oversee and support the physical restoration of the chapel’s building and the precious historical objects housed within it.

  • Fundraising & Project Management: We act as a bridge between the monument and its supporters, securing both public and private funding to finance essential structural works.

  • Advocacy & Heritage Management: We meticulously prepare technical dossiers and monitor the progress of restoration projects to ensure they meet the highest standards of historical preservation.

Why Our Work Matters

The Chapelle Notre Dame de Montgauzy is more than just a building; it is a testament to our region’s cultural and spiritual history. By restoring this site, we promote local tourism, encourage historical research, and maintain a sense of continuity in our community. Our work ensures that this monument remains a vibrant part of our landscape rather than a fading memory.
